Ibiza has different museums: On the capital’s you can visit the contemporary art museum; as well the beautiful Arabic traditional space besides the cathedral on the castle walls. The greatest you can watch in this museum, is the value of the pieces it has inside, the archaeological museum located on a big necropolis feet, open to the public. It was use by the three cultures that passed by Ibiza´s history before the Christians: Punics, Romans and Arabic.
Also, in Sta. Eulalia´s town, there’s the ethnographic museum, where you can discover uses and customs of our population between the XIII and XX centuries. Our local folklore stills alive and every month, there are ball pages (traditional dancing) and night dancing acts, usually on the local party day of the island churches. These acts are combined with art and food markets. We recommend visiting the white churches defensive constructions against the pirates too and the defensive towers over Ibiza´s coast. The architectural of the typical white and squared traditional houses, are also a surprise for the visitor.
